FIGURES
The biggest timesaver perhaps is dynamic figure updating. InDesign links to assets, storing not a local copy of figures but. so that if generated and saved to same name/path, the figures will dynamically populate into InDesign, following the same image and placement specifications as set previously.
LESS IS MORE
each visual cue signifies a semantic shift. A single gesture is enough, even more powerful, to signal a semantic shift. Pick one to establish a hierarchy (type size, font change, bold, underline, italics, color change). Arbitrary changes confuse, as the curious viewer will intuitively search for a semantic correspondence when there is none.
MAKING POSTERS
I've included a template with VSS specifications, linked with NYU assets.
COLOR
RGB CYMK not the same vibrancy
